Udupi; Dec 09: opposing the State Government’s likely implementation of Superstition ordinance Hindhu Janajagrithi samiti staged a protest on Dec 08, Sunday near Udupi service bus stand. Protestors said that when there is already Indian Penal code for the prevention of superstition atrocities is there, there is no need of another separate law for that. Protestors also demanded that in this ordinance formation samiti, the Hindu religious leaders also should given an opportunity to participate.
In the protest, Samiti’s vijaya Kumar, Bhujanga Shetty, R.K.Malpe, Udaya Kumar Shetty, Chittaranjan Hegde and among others were present.
The protest was staged under the leadership of Prasanna Kamath on Dec 08, Sunday in front of DK district commissioner’s office under the auspices of Hindujagrana samiti demanding not to implement proposed superstition ordinance.
