Bantwal, Dec.3: National Level Open Karate Championship 2013 has organised in association with Shorinjiryu Karate Association, Moodbidre, Western Institute Technology, Mangalore and M.K Ananthraj Physical Education at Shree Mahaveera College, Moodbidre.
Burooz English Medium High School students from Kalabagilu, Razanagar, have bagged first place to the district with overall championship.
Competed 50 Karate players have got 9 gold, 5 silver and 13 bronze medals and totally, they have gain 27 prizes to the school.
Sony Shetty, Prajna Shetty, Sahana Shetty, Ashrita Reema Lobo, Siyyed Muhammad Murtala, Muhammad Afreed, Rafeek, Fazal Rehman and Muhammad Arshad achieved the first place with gold medal. Other students of the same school satisfied with silver and bronze medals.
Nadeem and Sarfaraj from Moodbidre, trained the school students for Karate competition, said school convener Sheik Rehmathulla in a press release.
