Perdur: Amenities distribution to beneficiaries; receives grievances; Rs 5 crore for complete development-minister Sorake

Karkala; Dec 01: Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge has said in his address that for the complete developmental works such as underground drainage system, drinking water facility and other various works in the jurisdiction of Perduru Panchayat rupees five crore grant –in-aid will be provided from the state government.

While distributing the various government facilities to the benefactors in Perduru panchayat on Dec 01, Sunday, received grievances of the people. He also said that by opening Adalat in Perdur soon, solutions for the native’s problems, will be given at the place itself and lauded the style of panchayat functioning.

While mentioning about the government’s Manasvini project, immediate issue of BPL cards to poor people, about distribution of rice and kerosene oil to APL card holders and at concessional rate Aarogya Shree project have already been decided in the cabinet meeting, he added.

He further said that already 1.5 acres of land has been identified in Perdur and in that land, accommodations will be distributed to the poor people.Malpe-Molakalmuru state highway, which passes through Perduru and by widening of Agumbe ghat, will be converted into link road to national highway and it will be under the consideration of union government.

Out of the panchayat in Kaup constituency, for the Perduru panchayat which has shown substantial interest in developments, step by step measures will be taken for the complete developmental works, he said.

He distributed compensation for the farmers, who have been affected due to areca nut rotten disease, various government facilities to SC/ST beneficiaries, compensation to owners of cattles,that died due to foot and mouth disease and to the villagers various amenities available from the department.

Shivarama Shetty, Bukkigudde, president of the Perduru panchayat has chaired the function and briefed about the different projects undertaken by the panchayat. Participating in the programme K.Jayaprakash Hegde,MP assured for the complete and permanent developmental works in Perduru soon.

In the programme district panchayat member Gopi.K.Naik,vice president Baby alias Ammani,taluk panchayat member Nagaveni.S.Puthran,former Mandala chief Shantarama Sooda,former taluk panchayat president Geetha.G.Prabhu,tahsildar Guruprasad,taluk panchayat convener Manjunathayya,different departmental authorities were present.former panchayat president Herde Vasantha Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering,Upendra Acharya compered the programme and PDO Gopal proposed vote of thanks.

Minister also visited Byrampalli panchayat and distributed amenities to the beneficiaries and accepted the grievances of the villagers.
