Udupi; Nov 28: As a major step forward in the Devadiga society ‘Nadashree credit-co-operative society’ was inaugurated on Nov 24, Sunday in Alevuru-Kukkikatte main road building.
Inaugurating the programme a well known doctor in Udupi Dr.Rama Devadiga wished for the society’s progress and prosperity and said that by serving the customers with dedication, honesty and loyally, this organization should become a role model for others.
Dr.B.S.Sherigar, retired chancellor of Kuvempu University, has presided over the function.
The programme was meaningfully started with Bhajans by Sangha’s Seetharama Bhajana Mandali and rendition of saxophone by Kumari Akshata Devadiga.
Smt.Nayana, a proud community woman and vice-chairman of co-operative sanghas after releasing the deposit certificate, gave some useful suggestions and recommendations on the occasion.
Smt.Vasanthi Ratnakar, another proud woman from the community and regional branch manager of state bank of India, Udupi division has inaugurated the computer systems and appreciated the works done by the community kinsmen and said that with this project ,the dream of many years has become reality.
Shree Vaman Maroli, vice president of Karnataka Rajya Devadigara Sangha (Red), Mangalore while inaugurating the strong room, congratulated and appreciated all the Devadiga kinsmen of Udupi for their good works and wished the society for the prosperity and hoped that by responding to the needs, requirements of the community people with transparent governance, let this institution be a model for others to emulate.
Shri U.Ganesh Devadiga, president of Udupi Devadiga Seva sangha said in his address that let this organization grow constructively and become bank one day and extended his warm wishes for the all round growth of the society.
Shri Vobu Sherigar, senior and veteran Vidhwan saxophonist has been felicitated on the occasion.
Murdeshwara entrepreneur and lion Manjunatha Devadiga has inaugurated the Nadashree Seva trust and wished for the progress, growth and prosperity of this society and hoped that let the service of this society reach all the members of the community.
Famous, talented and renowned creative artist from the community Shree Karna Raghavendra has been applauded and honored through clapping in his absence for creating beautiful and meaningful LOGO of the society to meet all the demands of the members.
Dr.B.S.Sherigar in his presidential address congratulated all the pioneers, promoters and prominent leaders of community for their selfless service for making many years of dream into reality. Since most of the directors are from different fields, served in different fields, sanghas and with vast experiences, without any doubt it will serve in a better way and positively respond to the needs of the community people and whole heartedly lauded the programme, which lasted for more than three hours.
Programme and LOGO of the society were very meaningful, he added.
