“Special Anti Terrorist Sqaud (ATS) should be set up:

“Special Anti Terrorist Sqaud (ATS) should be set up in coastal towns (Mangalore,Bhatkal,Udupi) of Karnataka as they are on the verge of transforming into terrorism hubs. The arrest of Yasin Bhatkal and two of his aides from Mangalore, illegal transfer of fund to Pakistan which were used for terrorist activities by Mangalorean Aysha Banu, reports stating that the raw materials used for bombs being supplied from the coastal towns to other states, uncovering of terror training camps in Koppa Taluk has sent shock waves to the people of this district. Some way or the other these coastal towns are being linked with terrorism. The State and Union Government have to jump into action and set up ATS to prevent terrorist activities,”

Release reformed prisoners

“From 2006 to 2013 not a single reformed prisoner has been released from jails. As many as 900 prisoners are languishing in jails from many years some of them are suffering from life threatening illness. The Government should release such prisoners. When BJP Government was in power the Governor didn’t approve the release of such prisoners with a fear that BJP will take the credit. At least now the Governor should secure their release based on humanitarian grounds,”demanded Muthalik.
