Bantwal, Nov. 23: Nations development is can through rural development. The subsidy given by the govt. to the gram panchayath members is not enough. The govt. should provide Rs. 1 crore annually for gram panchayat. Panchayat Raj system should get respect. Integrated fight is must for the fulfillment of the demands of panchayat member said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
After inaugurating the D.K. district level convention of Gram Panchayat member organized by D.K. district gram panchayat members committee, all the committees of the Tauk and Sugrama Gram panchayat elcted women representatives organization at Rangoli auditorium B.C. Road.
D.K. district incharge minister B. Ramnath Rai said that through panchayat raj system state get strength and enthusiasm. Earlier only powerful people have the right to enter the panchayat but now by the reservation system omman man also can enter the panchayat he said. Panchayat should get Rs. 25 lac subsidy he added.
Speaking on the occasion health minister U.T. Kadher said that the members of gram panchayat should work and serve for the society with love, sincerity and faith.We will make health units in every district and try to build healthy society he added.
ZP president Koragappa Naik presided over the function. MLA Shakunthala Shetty, Moiddin Bava, MLC Prathapchandra Shetty, Kota Shreenivas Poojary also spoke.
