Udupi;Nov 20: Addressing the media personnel in the press meet held on Nov 20,Wednesday in Pathrika Bhavan,Pramodh Madhwaraj,MLA said in his address that in order to meet an emergency necessities, requirements of the Brahmavar sugar factory, government has granted a soft loan of Rs 12 crore.
This amount has to be returned to government along with 10% annual interest on it. Keeping in mind farmers and workers on priority basis, outstanding loan should be given by the end of this December, he said.
With regard to Sahakari Sangha’s loan repayment is concerned, factory should discuss with Sahakari Sangha’s and has to make request for discount in interest rate. The prior approval has to be obtained from the government before making any payment, he added
