Mangalore, Nov. 16: The Holy Catholic Church had declared 2012-13 as the Year of the Faith. As the entire Catholic World celebrates the closing function of this event, on this occasion, the Mangalore Diocese will bring all the youth of the Diocese under its wing and organize a “Walk for Christ” youth rally on Nov. 17th Sunday said Dr. Rev. Fr. Aloysius Paul D’ Souza.
Speaking at the press meet held on Nov. 16, Saturday he said the rally will start at 2.00pm from Milagres Church, Mangalore and will culminate at Rosario Cathadral Church of Mangalore. The purpose of the rally is to establish peace, fight against immoral and social evil, establish peace and harmony, Justice, equality of brotherhood and fight against evil in the Society.
About 5000 youths will participate in the function. The Rev. Msgr. Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General of the Mangalore Dioceses has requested through this Press Release asking all the youths of the Diocese to take part is this Rally he added.
He further said that The Mega Magnificat 2013 religious programme will be held on December 1 at Lourdes Central School, Ground, Bejai. This programme will be conducted by famous American Catholic Jyas and Hip Hop Singer Rev. Fr. Stan Porthuna. About 7000 people will be expected to take part in this programme.
