Udupi; Nov 13: Demanding to enforce adequate law on hill tribe’s sub project and special unit project, at district level in association with Dalit Sanghatanas, a march past has been organized on Nov 13, Wednesday.
Rally started from Udupi Gandhi Park, demand for the enforcement of the law was made near the Gandhi statue.
For Social justice, resource allocation and human development and the achievement of tribal and dalit communities, a hill tribe’s sub project and special unit projects had come into force in 1974 and 1980 respectively.
But though four decades have been passed, due to lack of adequate implementation this community people could not progress unlike other community people in the society.
For the adequate implementation of the project, a comprehensive law has to be implemented and strictly to be followed. In case, government arrangements fail to provide justice, a law has to be enforced, so that community people can rely on that law.
A memorandum has been submitted to government to implement the law especially in Karnataka
