Udupi; Nov 13: Opposing the ‘Shaadi Bhagya ‘and legislation on anti-superstition and black magic,BJP Mahila morcha staged a protest on Nov 13,Wednesday near clock tower.
Addressing the protestors, Smt.Sheela K.Shetty, a senior BJP leader said in her address that ‘Shaadi Bhaagya’termed it as vote bank politics and trick to lure voters. This scheme has been even opposed by Muslims, she said
She also alleged that by sowing the seed of casteism congress is trying to increase the enmity among the people.
Smt.Geetanjali Suvarna, Shyamala Kundar and among others were present.
