Mangalore, Nov. 8: The foundation stoning ceremony of new hospital block of KMC hospital was held at KMC Hospital near Ambedkar circle on Friday Nov.8.
The chancellor of Manipal University Dr. Ramdas M. Pai and Manipal Education and Medical group of India prvt. Lmtd managing director Dr. Ranjan Pai laid the foundation stone.
“Manipal, today, is a knowledge powerhouse and a brand name in higher education also. Manipal University is a name to remember, not just across the length and breadth of India, but worldwide. The fact that students from 52 countries are studying at Manipal is a testimony to this fame. The future medical practitioners of our country get the best first hand training and support from the KMC Hospital, Mangalore” said Dr.H.S.Ballal, Pro Chancellor, Manipal University.
This year we are marking the Diamond Jubilee year of the two Medical colleges at Mangalore and Manipal – 60 years since the inception of this group” said Dr V Surendra Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manipal University Mangalore Campus.
Dr.M.Venkatraya Prabhu, Dean, KMC, Mangalore, Dr Nagendra Swamy, President, MHEPL, Mr. Rajen Padukone, MD and CEO of Manipal Health Enterprises, Mr. Rakesh Singh, COO, MHEPL, Dr.Anand Venugopal, MS & Unit Head, KMC Hospital Ambedkar Circle, and Dr.Madhusudan Upadya, MS, KMC Hospital Attavar were also present for the occasion.
