Kundapur;Nov 07 : Opening ceremony of Kundapur zone level primary and high school student’s games event, ‘Jaya Ho-2013’ jointly organized by Udupi Zilla panchayat,public education department, office of the local education authorities,Kundapur,St.Mary schools affiliated education institutions, Kundapur was held on Nov 07,Thursday morning at Kundapur Gandhi maidan.
Flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by Ganapati.T.Shreeyan, president of zilla panchayat udupi health and Sthayi Samiti and Udupi zilla panchayat vice president Mamata.R. Shetty has received salutation.
Zilla panchayat member Prakash Mendon start opened the programme by flying the balloons in the sky and blessed for the success of the programme.City procession was inaugurated by Rev.Fr.Anil D’Souza, convener St Mary’s education institution. Rajesh Kaveri, corporation member lighted the ‘Kreeda Jyothi’.

Before the beginning of the programme the ‘Kreedajyothi’ was brought from St Mary’s School to Kundapur Gandhi maidan in procession. Hundreds of students took part in the march past on the occasion.
Kundapur constituency education director Gopala Shetty welcomed the gathering, Karnataka state school’s assistant teacher’s sangha’s vice president Aroor Thimmappa Shetty and Prakasha Shetty compered the programme, St, Mary’s high school main professor L.J.Fernandez proposed vote of thanks.
