Ullal Black Mail Case: Police Arrests Three People

Mangalore, Nov.6: Ullal police have arrested three people and produced them before the court on Tuesday, November 5 for blackmailing the rich with call girls.

The three were arrested on Monday, November 4 in Ullal. The accused are identified as Iliyas of Ullal, Manda Asif of Mukkacheri and Sahukath Ali of Boliyaru.

Police also detained Mubarak, Jalal, Imran, Althaf, Nawaz and few girls from Vamanjoor and Kuttar for the interrogation purpose.

The racket is use to blackmail businessmen and other rich men after kidnapping them and placing them under home arrest and clicking their obscene photographs in the company of woman. They would threaten to leak the videos and photos to news channel or newspapers or expose them to their families.

According to reports, the gang had kidnapped Tahir (30) of KC Road Badrianagar, son of a bakery owner of Ullal on October 30 and had placed him under house arrest in the residence of Shaukat near Melkar. Then a woman was sent to his room. Then Tahir was forced to pose for photographs with the girl. Later the gang started to blackmail Tahir and asked him to pay Rs 27 lac. Fearing disrepute, Tahir had assured to pay them Rs 5 lakhs. When the gang was on their way back to Mangalore Tahir managed to escape and narrated the entire incident as he reached his relatives supermarket. The Ullal police were informed, and soon the gang was arrested.

A juice shop owner at Mastikatte was blackmailed as the gang photographed the man with a girl.The house owner gave them Rs 5,000 in cash and escaped by jumping from the first floor of the house.

Then Farooq had managed to escape from the first floor of the house after passing on a cash of Rs 5000 to the cheats. A complaint has been lodged even in this connection.

Ullal police are investigating the case.
