Man Went Fishing in Netravati River, unfortunately drowned

Mangalore, April 4: It has been reported that a man, identified as Paul Lobo, aged 50 years, resident of Jeppupatna went to fishing in Netravati river near the Mahakalipadavu Railway Bridge on Thursday April 4 is feared drowned.

It is said while he was fishing, he got stuck in a marshy spot and was washed away despite being good at swimming.

Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot. With the help of around 25 personnel including firemen, rescue teams and locals have started searching for Paul.
