Mangalore, Nov. 2: Kannada Scholars committees “Kannada Katte Mangalore” inaugurated by district in charge minister B.Ramnath Rai at Raveendra Kala Bhavan at University College on Friday Nov.1.
In his inaugural speech he said that the plan of Niddodi Power project will not implement. There is attempt to implement of diverting Netravathi River and such other project on the basis of Paramashivayya’s scientific report. But they should made research on the effect of the scientific project. Regarding to this the CM is ready for the discussion he added.
He further said the senior poet writer of Kasargod Kayyara Kinjanna Rai had worked a lot for Kannada literature. So w decided in the cabinet about the 100 years celebration of Rai he said.
The poetry book “Chucchu maddu” written by Dr. M. Annayya Kulal was released by Nalin Kumar Kateel. The lead actor of Rickshaw Driver Movie Karthik was felicitated in the occasion. Manipal University retired Chancellor Dr. B.M.Hegde, writer Catherin Rodrigus Katapady was the guest of honour.
The journalist Manohar Prasad presided over the function. The founding president of Kannaa Katte Dr. Annayya Kulal delivered the key note address. Honourer president Pro.A.V.Navada submitted the memorandum to the minister. Chief secretary Shashidhar Shetty Bejjai was present.
