Mangalore, April 4: It has been alleged by the “Nyja Congress Janaandolana Samiti” in the press meet held at city’s pathrika Bhavana that attitude and dictatorial style of function of U.T.Khader, MLA, Mangalore Vidhana Sabha Constituency, in the selection of Congress Candidate for the ensuing assembly election in Mangalore constituency, has left many of the honest and sincere workers at lurch.
After remaining away from active politics for 16 years, U.T.Farheed, Senior Congress leader, father of U.T.Khader has won the election from Ullala Constituency. At that time senior workers who have worked sincerely, earned name and fame have been totally ignored and sidelined and made his own cronies party chiefs and panchayat presidents at his own whims and fancy, who are all illiterate and people without any party ethics, it said.
Dejected and annoyed by these attitude of U.T.Farheed and family members more than 150 Congress workers have formed “Hosa Mangalore ward Congressigara Janandolana Samiti” (New Mangalore Constituency Nyja Congress Janandolana Samiti).
A meet including likeminded workers has been arranged on 5th April,’13 at Thokkottu to decide about fielding Independent candidate from Ullal constituency in the ensuing Assembly election and hoping more and more people will join. No tie up or understandings of any nature with any other political parties has been made, it said.
It has further alleged that representatives have shown step-motherly treatment in implementing the developmental works such as mainly drainage system of Ullal, understandings with contractors in the construction of Shelter house near Ullal-Someshwar apart from other illegal activities.
Dennis D’souza-President ,Bhawa Mohammad-Former member,Ullala Mandala Panchayat,U.P.Alinubba-Senior leader ,M.Dinesh Kumpala were present in the press meet.
