150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s: Yatre in D. K. From Nov.1st to 8

Mangalore, Nov.1: Swami Vivekananda’s influence on the civilization and culture of India and the rest of the world is becoming clearer as days pass by. His thoughts are bound to affect the world positively more and more in the days to come.

On this occasion of his 150th Birth Anniversary a Grand Ratha of Swami Vivekananda is being taken in procession all over the state. The Swami Vivekananda Ratha is entering Dakshina Kannada District on 1st November 2013. It will be in the district till 8th November.

From 1st to 8th Welcome, procession programmes, in brief, are as follows:

1st November – 09.00am Welcome, procession and programme at Charmadi. At 11.00am at Munjade. At 4.00pm at Ujire.

2nd November – 08.30am at Dharmasthala, 05.00pm Public meeting at Dharmasthala

4th November – 03.00pm at Bantwala and 04.00pm Public Meeting


5th November – 08.30am Welcome, Student’s procession and programme at Mangalore 04.30pm Public procession and programme at Mangalore

6th November – 08.30am at Thokkottu, 09.30am at Yenapoya University, Deralakatte, 11.30am at K.S. Hegde Medical College. 12.30pm at Kalladka. 06.00pm at Vitla

7th November – 08.50am at Puttur

8th November   Whole day Programme at Sulya.  All are requested to attend the processions, programmes and render your tribute the Indian Icon Swami Vivekananda & be benefitted by his messages said in the notice.
