Nov. 1st Goodudeepa Contest By Namma Kudla at Kudroli Temple

Mangalore, Oct. 30: Namma Kudla’ a local television channel will organise annual ‘Goodudeepa contest and awarding ceremony at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra on Friday, November 1st said Harish B Karkera the director of Namma Kudla Channel.

Addressing the press meet at press club on Wednesday Oct. 30 he said that the contest was organized in the three categories; traditional, modern and models. In each division first and second prize winner will get a gold medal. All the participants will be honoured with mementos. And an organisation which bring more goodudeepa’s also get prize.

The contestant should register their name within 4pm of Nov.1. More prominence will give to own created goodudeepa’s. Participants will have to bring the materials required for the same Harish said.

He further said that the channel will honour ‘Namma Kudla’ award to the Director of Alva’s Education Trust. ‘Namma Tuluver award’ to the president of Shri Devi Group of Education Institution Mangalore and also ‘Namma Kudla Bahumuka Pratibhe’ awards to the student of St. Aloysius College.

Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli said that the goodudeepa contest will inaugurate at Santhoshi Kalamantap at the Temple on evening 5pm. The former minister of the state Krishna J Palimar will preside over the function and MCC commissioner Shanadi Ajith Kumar will inaugurate the contest. The president of the Kudroli temple administrative committee H.S. Sai Ram and other guests will participate in the programme.

Former union minister and the initiator of Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple Administrative committee B Janardhana Poojari will preside over the valedictory function of goodudeepa and award distributing ceremony.

Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli said that fishery and youth minister K. Abhaychandra Jain, MLA of Mangalore J.R.Lobo, D.K. district co-operative bank president Dr.M.N. Rajendra Kumar, manager of Badaga Edapadavu Shri Shasthavu Bhoothanatheshwar Temple Administrative committee Vijayanatha Vital Shetty, the zone officer of Bharath Co Operative Bank Udupi and D.K Balakrishna Karker and Dr. Satyanarayan Rao will be the guests in the programme.

Various cultural competitions also will hold at Santhoshi Kala mantap at Kudroli Temple while the Goodudeepa contest is going on. The programme will
