Udupi: Soujanya murder case to be handed over to CBI; no voice from politicians in view of ensuing Loka Sabha elections-alleges CPIM

Udupi; Oct 23: A protest was organized by CPIM on Oct 23, Wednesday in front of the clock tower demanding an immediate hand-over of Soujanya’s mysterious rape and murder case to CBI.

Addressing the protestors, K.Shankar secretary of Bharat communist party alleged that no political leader raising their voice on behalf of Soujanya case in view of keeping in mind the forthcoming Loka Sabha elections. Today CPIM is staging a protest on behalf of Soujanya’s rape and mysterious murder incident, he added

He further said that though one year has been passed after the incident, neither none of the listed accused has been arrested nor thorough probe has been conducted. When the public outcry was mounted more, after conducting two days inquiries, the idea of continuing the same has been dropped now.

Continuing his speech, he alleged that Soujanya’s family members, who spoke against the issue, were receiving threats and not provided enough security to the family.

He also accused Janardhan poojary,former union minister because he has order to pay Rs 6 lac to the family of Soujanya and he questioned that  whether Janardhana Poojary, got girls at his house or not?

He also alleged that there were 450 cases of murder and suicide incidents were come to light during the last 10 years in Dharmastala and surrounding region and 20 days earlier to Soujanya’s case one double murder was occurred and no arrest has been made yet. This shows the laxity and failure of home ministry. If the incidents like this continue, anarchy will form and people will lose faith in the judicial system of the country, opined CPI
