Kundapur;Oct 22 : After inaugurating the centenary birthday celebration of Kirthishesha Yadthare Manjayya Shetty,held on Oct 22,Tuesday at Kolluru Mookambika temple’s Swarnamukhi Rangamantap, Padmabhushana Dr.B.M.Hegde, retired chancellor of MAHE Manipal said in his speech that in recent times, the practice of honoring and felicitating ,by identifying the people through their good deeds is being dwindling.
In this connection, celebrating the birthday of Manjayya Shetty, the great man, who spent a fruitful and noble and respectable life and dedicated his life for the welfare of the society and has become famous amongst the people, is really in fact memorable and worthy, he said
There should be a value for man in the life. Such a kind of value has been earned by Y.M.Shetty through his social activities.
He has done commendable and good jobs. His works are something which are long lasting and memorable. Three times MLA has worked for the progress of the constituencies.
Bejavalli ayyappa Swamy temple’s Harihara Peetadhipati Shree Vidhyavachaspathi Dr.Vishwasanthoshabharati Shree Padha has launched a book on achievements of Y.Manjayya Shetty “Satpurusha” and spoke on the occasion lauding the achievements of Manjayya Shetty.
He also appreciated the efforts of Kundaprabha editor U.S.Shenoy and Gulfkannadiga.com reporter Yogeesh Kumbhashi in bringing this book out.
