Karkala; Oct 19: On account of a great soul, patriotic Swamy Vivekananda’s 15oth birthday celebration’s ‘Ratha yathre’ organized by Ramakrishna Mutt and Ramakrishna mission across the state has arrived to Karkala on Oct 18, Friday evening.
V.Sunil Kumar, MLA, president of Vivekananda birthday celebration Karkala Samiti has welcomed the Ratha Yathre by garlanding the statue of Swamy Vivekananda near Anantha Shayana circle. Then it proceeded towards Bandipura through city’s car street.
In the stage programme organized at Bandipura Rama Sabha Bhavan, Pradeep Kumar, publicity agent of Rashtriya Swayam Sevaka Sangha said in his address as main speaker that Swamy Vivekananda during his 39 years of life, has sacrificed the whole of his properties. Since Vivekananda spoken words, thinking mind and his behavioral attitudes has the similarities, still he is in the state of being ageless and deathless.
The great sentence of Vivekananda, that is’ if you want to do anything for the nation, do it right now, won’t get an opportunity in future’ will inspire the youths to do some national service, he said.
Shree Jitakamananda Swami of Mangalore Ramakrishna Mutt has presided over the function and said in his speech that Swami Vivekananda Swamiji has never lived for himself but he lived for the welfare of the nation and his value based life principle should be followed by the youth, he added.
Chief guests like prominent heads of Ramakrishna Ashramas Thyagishwaranandaji, Maheshwaranandaji Soukyanandaji, Vishvikhyathanandaji, committee members like Nityanantha Pai, Surendra Shenoy were present.
Maniraja Shetty,president BJP,BJP prominent leaders like Giridhara Nayak,Vijaya shetty,Jayarama Salian,Prakash Rao,Mahaveera Jain and among others were present.
Sunil Kumar welcomed the guests, Prof.Ramachandra comprehensively spoke about Swami Vivekananda.Devidas Nayak compered the programme.
