Mangalore, Oct. 18: Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishath (ABVP) will organize nationwide awareness campaign to enhance security for women from October 23 said Ramesh K., secretary, ABVP.
Addressing the press meet at press club he said that as part of the campaign a student’s march will be organized, this will also mark the beginning of the campaign at Karnataka. And also various activities like signature collection, pamphlet distribution, street play, symposium and protest meet will be there he said.
The cases of women violence are on rising today. Acid attack, molestation, female infanticide, rape, murder is increasing day by day. So there should be law to protect women Ramesh said.
He further said that the murderers of Sowjanya should be caught. And proper investigations should be conducted into the death of Akshatha, Ramesh demanded.
The secretary of ABVP Chethan Padil, Student pramukh Anushka, dstrict convener Sathish were present.
