Poojary demands CBI Probe on Saujanya murder case and urges CM to grant Rs. 5 Lakh Compensation for her family

Mangalore, Oct 17: The farmer central minister Janardhana Poojary demands CBI probe in Soujanya’s rape and murder case.

Addressing the media at Press Club here on Thursday October 17, Poojary said there is a lot of confusion in the case of Soujanya, and allegations are being made against Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade and his family. So that there should be a strict investigation and should find out the real accused.

He further said Sowjanya’s murder which took place a year ago, regarding this case police arrested a man also. But now after one year, a few people are saying that he is not the accused and they are trying to defame Heggade,his familyand Shri Kshetra Dhramasthala. I do not understand the intention behind this said Poojary.

When I heard about the death of Saujanya I visited the family even though I was busy with Dasara celebration works. And also I announced Rs. 1 Lakh compensation for her familyI asked the family if they suspected anyone, to which they replied in the negative. . But now few people are alleging that Dr Heggade’s family was responsible for the murder he said.

Poojary also urged the chief minister to grant a compensation of Rs 5 lac to the victim’s family and also strict action against those trying to defame Dr Heggade.
