Rs 50 lakh compensation Distributed to Fruit Rot Disease Victims

Bantwal, Oct.9: The total compensation of Rs 50 lakhs released for the areca growers affected by fruit rot disease in the taluk, was distributed to the victims of fruit rot disease of Pithala Bettu Village of Bantwal.

The forestry minister Ramanath Rai distributed the cheque to the victims at Nayanadu Govt. High School.

Sundar Shetty and Shanthappa Shetty received the first cheque as compensation to fruit rot disease.

As per the direction of government Rs. 4,800 is given to every acre and maximum 12 thousand rupees will give tone hectare. And other effected people will receive the compensation soon.
