Karkala;Oct 09: Addressing the media reporters in the press meet held on Oct 09,Wednesday, in Hebri Grama panchayat office premises,Manjunatha Poojary,district panchayat member said in his address that if, Hebri becomes town panchayat,there will not be any problem for the people of Hebri instead it will help for the overall development, progress of the Hebri region.
He further said that Hebri should be upgraded. The decision of the gram panchayat today’s meet along with copy of the memorandum has already been forwarded to different departments concerned and Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge, requesting them to initiate some concrete steps for the upgradation of Hebri grama panchayat to Hebri town panchayat.
Poojary further said that he will put his maximum efforts in this regard.
