Udupi; Oct 09: Controversial former BJP MLA Raghupati Bhat tied the nuptial knot with Shilpa Shastry, a resident of Barkur for the second time at a simple ceremony held at Karamballi Venkataramana Temple at 08.30 am in the morning.

Bhat, married Shilpa Shastri as per the religious rituals in front of his family members and close, relatives, friends and well wishers.
Bhat has got married with Shilpa with the consent of both the families and to respect the words of his elders, who have been pursuing him to get re-married and settle in life once again.
After the mysterious death of his first wife Padmapriya in 2008, he was politically implicated in sex CD, scandal, which forced him to withdraw from contesting state assembly elections, which was held recently in May’13.
As he disclosed earlier, he wanted break from active politics for two years and enjoy the family life.
With this marriage with Shilpa, he put an end to the speculations of the people about his marriage.
