Bantwal: Bus overturns over a bridge falls in to a stream: Nearly 20 Passengers Injured

Bantwal, Oct. 9: A private bus fell down to groove from bridle bridge near Kudkoli of Siddakatte on Wednesday Oct. 9th morning.

Nearly 20 passengers were injured in the incident. And the cleaner of the bus hardly got injured and admitted into the hospital.

Today morning at 8 am when the bus namely Maha Ganesh travelling from B.C. Road to Moodabidre reach a slope near a bridle bridge the driver was lost control over the bus and hit the electric pole and fell down to the gutter from the bridle bridge. Because of the less water in the gutter the incident ended with fewer intruders.

There are nearly 30 passengers including labors, government employees and students of Moodabidre College were in the bus. Because of the Navaratri vacation school children were not in the bus.

The bus cleaner Shreedhar hardly injured admitted in the hospital and other were admitted to hospitals at Moodabidri, siddakatte and Bantwal.

The information about the injured was not yet known.

Bantwal rural police visited the place and investigated.
