Bantwal, Oct 8: A tipper lorry carrying a Hitachi earthmover overturned on road and four got injured seriously at Pilinja of Goltamajalu Village in Bantwal on Monaday, Oct.7.
The injured have been identified as Davangere Karinuru resident Vijay (28), Puttur Shantinagar resident Ummar Farooq (20), Shantinagar resident Naushad (19) and Hassan Arakalagoodu resident Devaraj (22). Vijay is said to be serious.
The lorry was moving from Bolantur to Uppinangady. It is said that due to heavy load the driver have lost control on the slope near Pilinja on Bolantur road near Golthamajalu. The lorry along with Hitachi overturned, injuring the all the four.
Police have arrived at the spot and conducted investigation.
The injured were taken to Mangalore due to a strike in the private hospitals in Bantwal.
