Kollur; Oct 07: A book ”Shivashambhavi”a new episode of Yakshagana,written by Smt.Ratna R.Hegade was relased by Padmashree Chittani Ramachandra Hegade, in a ceremony held at Swarnamukhi Rangamandira along with the staging of Yakshagana.
Prasada Kumar Mogebettu has composed the beautiful songs/lyrics for the book ‘Shivashambhavi’ written by Smt.Ratna R Hegade, under the direction of renowned, famous Bhagavatha (playback folk singer) Subramanya Dhaareshwara.
Krishnaprasad Adyanthaya, president of Kollur Shree Mookambika temple’s organizing committee has presided over the function.
Kollur Mookambika Yakshagana Kala Sangha’s honorary president K.Narasimha Bhat,L.S.Maruthi,working committee administrator,Kollur village panchayt president Laxmi Aithal,K.Ramakrishna Adiga,an official from temple,Subramanya Dhaareshwar,Yakshagana episode director,Prasada Kumar Mogebettu,lyrics/songs composer,Ratna R.Hegade,author of the book were present on the dais.
Subramanya Dhaareshwara, Ratna R.Hegade, Prasad Kumar Mogebettu, Nagesh Kulal, Nagarakodige have been felicitated on behalf of Mookambika Yakshagana Kala Sangha on the occasion.Dr.Gopalakrishna Bhat compered the programme.
‘Shivashambhavi’Yakshagana was staged by Shree Veeranjaneya Yakshamithra Mandali Bangamakki ® Gerusoppe and guest artists.Padmashree Chittani Ramachandra, in the special role of granddaughter appeared and justified his role on the stage.
In the playback (group of singers)Subramanya Dhaareshwara,Ramakrishna Hegade Hillur,Shankara Bhagavath Yallapur,Ganesh Gaonkar were present.In the front Subramanya Chittani,Karthika Chittani,Shridhara Bhat,Kasaragodu,Narasimha Chittani,Nagesha Kulimane,Prasanna Kumar,Udaya Jadkal,Jayakumar Kollur,Pranava Shankara Kollur,Panju Kumar,Diwakara Aavarse,Udaya Thotadi were dazzling.
With the co-ordination of Ganesh Hebbar and Raghavendra Chittani Yakshagana was performed successfully.
