Udupi;Oct 05 : Addressing the audience in the “Yakshagana Rangavaibhava”book release ceremony (The glory of Yakshagana theatre book) written by Manohar.S.Kundar (both in Kannada&English),organized jointly by Sheena_Meena publication,Yermal Bada and regional folksong art study centre-M.G.M college Dubai on Oct 05,Saturday,Dr.M.Prabhakar Joshi-a scholar & critic ,by briefing about the book said in his address that let the government lend one symbolic support and let the government tell,Yakshagana belongs to which field of art ?
He further said that in order to reach the art of Yakshagana to the people, this book will act as an ambassador. Writer of this book has explained the Yakshagana through drawings and one research can be done about this book. This book has not come out with any PHD degree and even Yakshagana has been translated in English too. This is a good sign of growth.
Directly lonely traditional step, dance movement, stage movement etc have been explained through photography. Government has to declare that the art of Yakshagana belongs to which cultural form of art?
Renowned and famous lady actor thenkuthittu Dr.Kolyuru Ramachandra Rao and Badagu thittu Margoli Govinda Serigar have released the book.
Author N.T.Bhat has translated this book to English and Bhat has been felicitated on the occasion.
