Udupi; Sept 03: Addressing the gathering in “Sneha-Seve-Sambrama” Programme organized by Rotary Malpe, Kodavur at Kidiyur Hotel Pavan roof top auditorium on Oct 02, Wednesday, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his address that in order to enlarge the scope of service attitude in the society, there is a necessity to create an awareness amongst the people, he said.
Continuing his speech, he said that with regard to service attitude in the society, urban development department has decided to carry out some programmes in association with organizations like rotary clubs and other NGOs.
By forming deliberate committees, activities will be organized and by entrusting more responsibilities to NGOs and with the involvement of these non-government organizations, it might be possible to implement more pro-people programmes, he added.
Soorya Prakash Bhat,former governor of district Rotary has welcomed Sorake to Rotary family by giving him honorary membership of Rotary Malpe Kodavur.Winners of ‘Samudhaya Seva Yojane’ competitions conducted for 1,2,3 rotary clubs of 3080 rotary districts, have been awarded with medals.
