Mangaore, Oct.1: The senior and the well known writer Dr. U.R. Anantha Murty’s statement that “In the past Brahmins have consumed beef “ is offending said President of Brahmin Federation S. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and other members.
He further stated that this statement is inappropriate to a person like Murthy who is a Jnana Peeta awardee. This issue is not mentioned t in Mahabharata. The cow is holy and worshiped by the Hindus. His statement has an affect on the feelings of the Brahmins. He should apologise before Brahmins urged Pradeep Kumar Kalkura.
