Udupi;Sept 28: Addressing the audience in “Gokaka Sahitya Upanyasa Maale-10,Dr.V Kr.Gokak’s commemoration and symposium programme, organized jointly by Padmashree Dr V.Kr.Gokaka national memorial trust Haveri and Poorna Prajna evening college,Udupi on Sept 27,Friday at Poorna Prajna mini auditorium Dr Thaaltaje Vasanta Kumar, retired Kannada professor of Mumbai vishwavidhyanilaya,Kannada department, said in his address that we can see Dr Gokak’s individualities in four different ways like Poet,scientist,philosopher and an expert.The Gokak report is applicable to all languages. This report has been given to government to make it applicable to national language, he said.
Dr Gokak was working as a professor in disciple’s mind stealing consciousness. We can see here Saamarasa, Sankeerna and Samanvaya principle. He was the first man to discuss about modernity. About him Navodyamanodharma’s criticism was also there. He has crossed many hurdles in his life and tried for Kannadathe, Maanaveeyathe, Baaratheeyathe and Vaishika Nele.
President of Admar Mutts’ education Mandali Vishwapriyatheertha Swamiji said in his speech that Dr Gokak was man like’ Kaayadinda alidaru,kaaryadinda aliyada vyakti’ (even his physical body dies, his deeds, works remain fresh). If we want to live even after death, education is needed. Birth of language wise states, are confined only for creating troubles. We have to live by respecting other languages. Growth of the Kannada language should be strong enough, so that people from other states come and talk in Kannada only, he added.
