Udupi; Sept 28: On behalf of Environment management and integrity research centre, Bangalore (MPRI), district level one day training workshop on” coastal management zone directives “was held at district panchayat auditorium.
Inaugurating the training workshop, M.T.Reju, DC has said in his address that in 1990, directives on CRZ were released but due to lack of knowledge, it is being violated, exploited locally. Therefore intellectual’s district like Udupi needs to have more awareness on CRZ, he said.
While speaking, Vinaya Kumar, MD, MPRI& forest conservation administrator informed that regular training camps will be organized to create awareness on the notification on CRZ as per Karnataka government’s order.
Dr N.A Madhyastha, retired professor in training, different departmental officials like T.Balachandra, Ashok.R.Bhat, Ganesh K and Mahesh Kumar have given comprehensive information about CRZ notification and its implementation.Basavaraju, head of MPRI training camp was present.
