Udupi; Sept 28: After inaugurating the tourists facilities inauguration function organized jointly by district administration, district tourism department, construction center and Padubidiri village Panchayat at Padubidri beach, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his speech that no other field, which generate employments than tourism sector. In tourism sector, even if foreigners come, we have to welcome them, he said.
He further said that Rs 100 crore has been already to given for the construction of Hejmadi fisheries port works.Kaup, St.Mary’s, Maravanthe and wherever there is an opportunity for water force, will also be developed.
Bangalore, Mysore, Madikeri, Dakshina Kannada and coastal regions have been identified as tourist centers.
Under NABARD project Rs 90 lac would be granted to Padubidri beach development works. Likewise Rs one crore and ten lac would be sanctioned for the development of Kaup beach and decided to give more prominence to tourism sector through the construction of roads, which leads to padubidri beach, he added.
