Mangalore, Sep 27: Mangalore Heart scan Foundation is now launching another new simple and cost effective procedure- “Cardiac Calcium Scan” on 29th Sep at Hotel Taj Gateway. The scan helps in detection of blocks due to calcification and cholesterol deposits at a very large stage said farmer chairman of Karnataka State Minorities Commission Anwar Mannippady.
Speaking on the press meet conducted by Mangalore Heart scan Foundation on 26th Sep, said that it will be a simple test for coronary artery blocks at much lower cost. This will go a long way in early detection for effective medical treatment of blocks in Coronary Arteries, thereby preventing future heart attacks and other complications he said.
Anwar Mannippady further said that the foundation has successfully completed over 7years and has been providing the public, facilities like ECG, TMT, Echo, CT scan of entire body, round the clock with expert advice from eminent cardiologist, radiologist, physician and specialists.
The foundation is also providing charitable service to the community by conducting free cardiac and diabetic check up camps at various places in Dakshina Kannada and North Kerala to help the poor patients he added.
He also said that the occasion is being graced by Dr. K.R. Shetty, Professor, Neurology and Former principal of KMC, Dr, C.R. Kamath professor of Ophthalmology, Dr. A.V. wud lik to know more about tis procedure. My father-in-law is a heart patient. He has undergone angiogram once in narayana hridalaya. Due to his age(73) and him being a stroke patient bypass surgery was eliminated at the last moment. Now if v want to c about his blocks wil tis new method help?? He’s been taking ayurvedic medicines.? Pls let me know at the earliest.
