Mangalore: Customs seize six Gold bars worth Rs 45.55 lakhs from Dubai Passenger

Mangalore;Sept 25: V.Shreenivas Phani, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Mangalore has stated in his press release that the officers of customs at Mangalore International Airport, seized o6 (six) Gold bars of 24 karat purity totally weighing 1499.450 grams valued at Rs 45.55 lakhs concealed in the baggage of a passenger.

The passenger Abdul Rahiman Malangala is a resident of Hidayathnagar, Kasargod, Kerala, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on 25.09.2013 by Jet Airways flight No 9W531 from Dubai at 0830 hours.

Further investigation is in progress.
