Malpe; Sept 12: After inaugurating the 63rd branch of SCDCC bank at Malpe Karthik Sahaj complex on September 11, Wednesday, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, President SCDCC bank, while addressing the media reporters said in his speech that State government as announced in the election manifesto in the recently concluded Vidhana Sabha election, loan @ 2% interest to the members of Self-help group (Swasahaya) to be implemented soon.
Besides he said that bank is aiming to open 100 branches before centenary celebration and distribute smart cards to one lac farmers. With this smart card, cash can be withdrawn from any ATM machines of commercial banks.
He also mentioned that unlike other commercial banks.DCC is not giving prominence to income tax. It is our duty to give loan as long as farmers are capable of returning the loan besides giving loan to needy person. Like that only, bank will grow, prosper, he added.
He further said that we are ready to give loan to those who are working in Bunder and DCC bank is capable of sanctioning loans up to 60 crore, even when there is rupees six lac in the deposit amount. Meantime, if you deposit the money in other commercial banks, benefits, facilities will be enjoyed by urban people, whereas DCC bank will give more predominance to the local people, he said.
Pramodh Madhwaraj, MLA, who inaugurated the newly opened bank branch, spoke on the occasion.
Chief Guest Kodavoour Sahakari Vyavasahika bank president Narayana K Ballal also spoke on the occasion. During the occasion, branch’s first deposit slip, passbook, locker Key has been handed over to the customer by the branch. Scholarship has also been distributed to the children of Navodaya Group members.
