Udupi; Sept 11: A ‘Run for Bharat’ involving students was organized by Swami Vivekananda 150th birth anniversary committee on September 11,Wednesday to awakening the world.
In the beginning students from different colleges have started running from Udupi Jodukatte, Karavali by-pass and M G M College and thereafter a public rally was organized near Chittaranjan circle.
While speaking Baikady Suprasad Shetty, convener of Vivekananda’s 150th birthday organizing committee said in his address that according to Swami Vivekananda by 2020 India becomes super power (Jagadguru).
In India rupees devaluation, cow slaughtering, terrorism and anti-India diseases are increasing at alarming speed and as per Swami Vivekananda expectation one should take the challenge in order to solve and counter attack these problems. This expectation should be accepted by the youths, he added.
In ‘Run for India’programme, students from different colleges participated and proclaimed “Vande Maataram’ in chorus.
