Mangalore, September 7: With the intention to prevent untoward and criminal activities around Suratkal area, Citizens Forum (Naagarika Samithi), Suratkal has submitted the memorandum to facilitate solutions for increasing public problems and issues on September 7.
In the memorandum, Citizen Forum has urged that to create a fearless atmosphere for the free movement of women and children during night hours and intensify the night patrolling.
They also demanded that day time checking of 2 wheelers and light vehicles in the Suratkal Police Station jurisdiction, Installation of CCTV in multi-storied Commercial Complex premises to facilitate surveillance of public and vehicle movement, co-operation from several social and service organizations for inter-active meeting, encourage recording the contact of police station in everyone’s cell phone, implementation of strict action to prevent the theft problem, direct MCC to increase installation of street lights along service roads and the highway.
