‘Prashamsa’ from Kaup bags Rs. One Lakh in the ‘Bale Thelipale’, Tulu comedy competition

Mangalore, September 7: The team ‘Prashamsa’ of Kaup, declared as the winners of ‘Bale Thelipaale’ Tulu comedy competition organized by Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadavu, Mijar, Mangalore.

 U.T. Khadar, Minister for Health, gave the first prize one lakh rupees cash to Prashamsa group, Kaup, who are the winners of competition.

Telike Kudla, Permanur, Thokotu secured second place with Rs. 50,000 of cash award and Umesh and team, Mijar placed the third prize with Rs. 25,000 of cash. Following 4th place goes to Chandrahas Shetty and team, Puttur with Rs.10, 000, Shoba Rai and team, Kunjathoor secured 5th place with Rs. 5000 cash, 6th place to Thelike Thenali with Rs. 3000 cash, 7th place to Kudla Kusal, Mangalpady with certificate and memento, Friends Mangalore, Boloor secured the 8th place and received memento and certificate.

Meanwhile,Praveen & Team selected for special prize for Best Dialogues with Rs 10,000 cash and Prashamsha, Kaup achieved special prize for Best All Round Performance with Rs. 10,000 cash.

B. Ramanath Rai, Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology & District In-Charge and K. Abhayachandra Jain, Minister for Youth Services and Fisheries were present as chief guests.

Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator, Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, eminent Tulu theatre personality and film producer, Naveen D. Padil, famous Tulu theatre artiste and film actor and Dr. Shivasharan Shetty, Director, NammaTV, Mangalore were the judges of the competition.
