Manipal; Sept 07: After inaugurating the “Pradhanamanthrigala Udhyoga Srajana Yojane Udhyama Sheelathe” programme organized jointly by Kaigarike mathu Vanijya ilake, Khadi gramodhyoga Aayoga, Karnataka Khadi and Gramodhoyoga Mandali, Jilla Kaigarika Kendra Smyuktha at Manipal Rajathadri Vajpayee auditorium on Sept 07, Friday, Pramodh Madhwaraj MLA said in his address that Bank has to start to make an arrangement for immediate sanctioning of loans to educated,un-employed youths to start their business under self-employment scheme. Besides, he also added that bank has to stop the habit of teasing, insulting, doubting and discouraging the youths when they came with request for loan to start their own business. Instead, bank has to guide and encourage the youths in shaping their future with their experienced advises.

Udupi in front line in terms of sanctioning Loans: P Nagesh, zilla Kaigarika jt.director said in his speech that in co-ordination with state and central government in the implementation of “Pradhanamantri Udhyoga Srajana yojane, Udupi has been in the front line since four years in terms of granting loans to educated un-employed boys and girls, who want to start their own business.
He also said that during 2008-09 Rs 222.40 lac has been sanctioned to 83 aspirants, 2009-10 Rs 312.20 lac has been sanctioned to 98 aspirants,2010-11 Rs 460.18 lac has been sanctioned to 106 youths and in 2012-13 Rs 480.21 lac has been sanctioned to 121 people.
