Udupi; Sept 05: Karnataka Janapadha parishath udupi, unit in association with Durgaparameshwari temple Mandarthi organized a “Thingala Janapadha Sobagu” programme for the sake of college students.S A Krishnayya, President, Taluk unit has given a comprehensive lecture on speciality of Karavali Karnataka Janapadha and janapadha arts of the students.
District unit secretary,Ganesh Gangolli,an artist have shown the importance of folk songs by performing singing and it has been decided to open a museum in co-operation with Karnataka Janapadha parishat for the collection of Janapadha materials.Dr Praveen Shetty,college principal had an introductory speech, Professor Nithyananda proposed a vote of thanks.
