Condemning the Annabhagya project of Union Government CPI(M) stages protest

Mangalore, September 2: Opposing the irregularities in ratione by Mangalore urban committee CPI (M) staged a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner Officer.

 Addressing the protestors CPI (M) district secretary P. Madava said that union government implemented Annabhagya project, which helps certain number of people, but it caused problem for rice to majority people. As BPL card holder getting the 30kgs of rice for Rs 1 per 1kg, APL card holders are not getting the benefits, whatever they were getting in earlier and made injustice with APL card holders. Chief Minister is half boiled socialist and his projects are in the form of half boiled, he said.

The ratione card distribution process under in confusion and government has bringing new laws in day by day and common are roaming office to office. Hence, government must leave the unscientific system in APL- BPL card and must provide single card to everyone. 25kg rice, food grains, cooking oil, sugar and other things are must be available in the concession rate, he urged.

CPI (M) district working authority member J. Balakrishna Shetty, district committee member Vasudeva Ucchila, Jayanti B. Shetty, City committee member Shashidar Shaktinagara, Suresh Bajal, Mangalore city committee secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal and others were present.
