Kundapur;Sept 01: In the election of Kundapur Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari bank, held at Kundeshwara temple’s main road,Kundapur on Sept 01,Sunday,BJP won with comfortable 7 seats, defeating its arch rival congress, who got only 3 seats.
With this victory, it is certain that BJP will be in driver’s seat. It is said that people started coming to the venue to cast their vote from morning in groups. It was straight contest between BJP and Congress.
By evening at around 8.00 pm the result of the election was announced and BJP who won with comfortable margin celebrated the victory by distributing sweets and cracking fire crackers.
Sources said that here and there some minor stray incidents and verbal exchanges between opposition party workers have been reported. However, the situation was brought under control by the police stationed there.
