Kundapur; Sept 01: It has been reported on Sept 01, Sunday that Kundapur police have arrested two people in connection with illegal transportation of buffaloes at Kodi in Kundapur taluk and seized the vehicle used for transportation of buffaloes.It was suspected that buffaloes were being transported with the sole purpose of slaughtering.
The accused have identified as Mahammed Sammad, aged 26 and Chandra, aged 25, both residents of Kodi.
Police have recovered two pairs of buffaloes and tempo used for transportation from the accused. It was believed that the value of the vehicle was approximately rupees one lac and thirty thousand.
Kundapur crime branch dept PSI Revathi, ASI Sheena Naik and cops Raghavendra, Raju, Ashok and Prince have assisted in the arrest.
A case has been registered in Kundapur Police station in this regard.
