Mangalore, August 31: In the Mangalore university level inter- college chess tourney, Mangalore University men team raised the Gulabi Shivarama Nonda Rolling trophy and in women section Mangalore St. Aloysius College secured the champion place.
Udupi MGM college men and women team gained the Board Championship and in the closing ceremony of the competition Ambalapadi temple Darmdarshee Dr. Ni. Vijay Ballal distributed the prizes to the winners. College principal Dr. N. Hala naik presided over the function and Mangalore university physical director Dr. H. Nagalingappa, MGM college student welfare officer Prof. Leelavathi, Physical director K.L. Siddaramanna, Sathish Kumar Hegde, Student leader Vikas Thingalaya, Sports secretary Karthik were the chief guest of the programme.
