Karkala; August 30: In one of the rarer of rare incidents, unable to bear the torture, manhandling and all the ordeals, a frustrated wife complained against her husband to the police station in Ajekar for his misbehavior, atrocities.
It was said that besides being disposing of all the ornaments in her possession for the purpose of drinking alcohol, husband used to beat, torture and manhandle wife for money on daily basis for drinking alcohol.
According to the sources Pramodha,from Kervashe was married to Satish Hegde,a resident of Ajekaru Bondukumari of Marne village in the year 2005.It is said that besides being sold off all the gold jewelry for drinking purpose, which was given at the time of their marriage, husband used to torture wife physically and mentally for money daily
It was said that on August 29, Thursday evening intoxicated Satish Hegde, not only abused and assaulted wife Pramodha but also threatened her to leave the house by pushing her out of the house. He also abused the people who came to protect her from this onslaught, she said
