Mangalore, August 28: Earlier very people were celebrating every religions feast, but today, situation occurred like, need to ask to maintain the peace before the day of feast, said Shanti publications meneger Muhammad Kunji.
He was speaking in the district level Eid celebration organised by Lions club at Lions service hall of Mallikatte in Kadri on Tuesday August 26.
India is region of several cultures and religion is not a cause for any problem, rather than lack of religious consciousness is the ultimate cause for the problem. There are effective people in the Lions club, hence, by celebrating every feast, open discussion will be held regarding the feasts, he said.
Lion’s district governor K.C Prabhu inaugurated the programme and said that Lions intension is to maintain the peace around the world, hence, by celebrating every religions feast, we gives important to mutual understanding.
Lions district chief organiser K. Prasad Rai, members Shanteri Prabhu, M.C Shetty, A. Chandrahasa Shetty, Aboobakkar Kukkadi, Asha Chandramohana, Manjunatha Murthy, Kavitha Shastri, Famida Ibrahim and Badruddin were present.
