Mangalore: CCB police arrest sibling fraudsters

Mangalore, Aug 27: The CCB police have arrested sibling fraudsters for cheating the people approximately Rs 2 crores.

The arrested are identified as Imran and Parveena and it says that the accused were cheating the people after receiving the money from them.

Poornima, the resident of Kunjathoor Mada got familiar with Parveena through common friend Haniba Banu. After their friendship grown Parveena demanded the loan to invest in a business and for land dealing and she also promised that she will re pay the money along with interest soon.

A source said that Poornima has given the amount in instalments of Rs 10 lakhs from her own funds and by borrowing from others. But, Parveena refused to pay the money despite several requests. Her brother Imran gave the assurance that he will pay the money, but later and his friend Haneef, were threatening the people, those who demanded their money back.

It is said that Amina had also lost as much as Rs 1.5 crores, who has been giving money to Parveena from February 2012. Parveena used to live at Morgansgate, now shifted to flat in Kaprigudde.

The police investigation is under process.
